Someone outside opened fire into a building, hitting a 16-year-old boy and killing him early Thursday in Chicago Lawn on the Southwest Side.
It happened in the 6500 block of South Talman Avenue around 1:30 a.m. and the boy suffered multiple gunshot wounds, Chicago police said.
The unidentified boy was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead, police said.
No one was in custody.
Area 2 detectives are investigating.
