The White Sox’ game Thursday night against the Braves is being delayed by a line of approaching storms set to descend on Rate Field, the team announced. First pitch initially was scheduled for 6:40 p.m.
Left-hander Anthony Kay (5-1, 4.40 ERA) is scheduled to face former Sox lefty Martin Perez (4-3, 3.02). The Sox have taken the first two games in the three-game series against the Braves, who have the best record in baseball.
The Sox are in first place in the American League Central by a half-game over the idle Guardians, who were just swept by the Yankees.
