Charges are pending for a person arrested after a man was stabbed at a home that was damaged by fire in what appeared to be a domestic incident Tuesday morning in Austin on the West Side.
The man, 32, was stabbed multiple times in the body by someone he knew around 4:30 a.m. inside the home in the 5800 block of West Division Street, Chicago police said.
The man was taken to the Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood where his condition was stabilized, police said. The suspect was arrested at the scene.
Further investigation showed property damage inside the home caused by a fire, officials said.
Charges were pending.
