U.S. officials are heading to Islamabad, Pakistan, for another round of talks with Iran to negotiate the end of the war.<\/p>\n

The three U.S. officials heading to Pakistan are Vice President Vance, U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law, according to a White House official who spoke on background. Iran has yet to confirm they are attending.<\/p>\n

But on Sunday afternoon, Iran’s official news agency, IRNA<\/a>, said the government had declined to join the second round of U.S. peace talks in Islamabad. <\/p>\n

IRNA cited what it described as “Washington’s excessive demands, unrealistic expectations, constant shifts in stance, repeated contradictions, and the ongoing naval blockade,” which Iran considers a breach of the ceasefire.<\/p>\n
