Charli XCX, Lorde, Olivia Dean, Tate McRae, Chicago rock band The Smashing Pumpkins and K-pop star JENNIE are among this year\u2019s Lollapalooza headliners, the festival revealed Tuesday. The four-day event runs July 30-Aug. 2 in Grant Park.<\/p>\n
Other notable acts include New York rockers Geese, R&B artist Leon Thomas, rapper Freddie Gibbs, singer-songwriter Sombr, pop vocalist Zara Larsson, British indie rockers Wet Leg and K-pop band Aespa. 54 Ultra, JADE<\/u><\/a>, <\/b>Empire of the Sun, Yungblud, <\/b>Mar\u00eda Zardoya\u2019s solo project Not for Radio are also on the lineup.<\/p>\n Among the notable locals booked for the fest is musician Case Oats.<\/a> The Chicago Made Showcase will also return, where the DCASE contest runners up<\/u><\/a> Corr Kendricks and Free Joel Band are expected to take the stage.<\/p>\n Festival organizers teased the list of musical acts over the weekend with \u201cmusical lollipops\u201d \u2014 think Tooth Tunes<\/u><\/a>, a popular kids\u2019 toothbrush that played short electronic clips \u2014 at the St. Patrick\u2019s Day Parade, South Side Irish Parade and in a handful of neighborhoods, hinting at artists such as Sombr, Zara Larsson, Aespa, 5 Seconds of Summer, Wet Leg and the Chainsmokers. Last year\u2019s festival drew a crowd of around 400,000 attendees.<\/p>\n Lollapalooza is one of the busiest tourist weekends of the Chicago summer.
