A father who went missing while swimming in the deep end of the water at Montrose Beach Monday was found safe more than 36 hours later, according to his family. <\/p>\n

Kevin Moctezuma, 33, was hospitalized Wednesday after he was found and is expected to survive, according to Priscilla Moctezuma, the missing man\u2019s sister. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe was taken to the hospital with minor injuries but is now stable and surrounded by loved ones,\u201d Priscilla Moctezuma, 35, said. \u201cWe are very grateful.\u201d <\/p>\n

Kevin Moctezuma was swimming with a friend around 4 p.m. Monday evening in the deep end of the water at the beach, Chicago police said. The friend made it back to shore but Moctezuma did not. <\/p>\n

Priscilla Moctezuma, told the Sun-Times her brother and his friend may have been intoxicated while swimming. <\/p>\n

Authorities weren\u2019t notified until Kevin Moctezuma\u2019s mother called Monday night to report him missing. <\/p>\n

Chicago Fire Department officials didn\u2019t receive any 911 calls for a person in the water at the beach Monday evening, fire officials said. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s devastating not knowing if he\u2019s alive, if he\u2019s out there just swimming or floating,\u201d Priscilla Moctezuma said shortly before her brother was found. \u201cIt\u2019s a really difficult feeling, I\u2019m not in the right head space right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kevin Moctezuma has a 10-year-old daughter and is someone who is \u201cvery humble and keeps to himself,\u201d his sister said. <\/p>\n

\u201cHis life pretty much revolves around his daughter,\u201d Priscilla Moctezuma said. <\/p>\n
